Review: Tour to St. Petersburg, 2009

We had a wonderful time and enjoyed Russia more than I ever imagined. Loved seeing your culture and and loved the food and people. We ate in the small cafes that were Russian and each meal seemed better than the last. I have talked to so many people who went only to restaurants catering to tourists and did not enjoy your food and only utilized tours without getting out and around on foot, train or bus. I was very fortunate and traveled with someone who had been to Russia and spoke the language. It was awesome and want to some day return.Used trains planes and foot travel to cover your country. Wonderful. People in small stores and cafes were so nice and helpful and willing to take the time to converse a bit. Got lost a few times and seemed to go in circles. In St. Petersburg all roads lead to Neski-Prospect, so you can't get lost too badly during the daylight hours, and if you go during white nights, dark isn't a problem!
