Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in St. Petersburg


Welcome to St. Petersburg, the most dynamic and gorgeous city on earth! You will be met by your tour guide at the airport and taken to your hotel. After check-in you can rest or explore the city on your own.
Day 2: Peter and Paul Fortress and Hermitage


After breakfast you will visit the Peter and Paul Fortress, one of the most significant sites in the city. You will then visit St. Isaac's Cathedral and have a traditional Russian lunch at the "NEP" restaurant, situated in Dvortsovaya Square. In the afternoon you will venture to the Hermitage, the largest collection of Russian art on earth and one of the finest collections of art in the world. Featuring works by Da Vinci and Raphael, Rembrandt and Rublev, the Hermitage sits inside the beautiful Winter Palace.
Day 3: Catherine's Palace and Paul's Palace


Catherine's Palace is located on the outskirts of St. Petersburg. A gift by Peter the Great to his wife Catherine, it is known for its legendary Amber Room that was looted during the World War II by Germans and completely recovered only in 2003. You will have a lunch of delicious Russian food at the "Old Tower" restaurant, built in a style of the XVII century, designed with antique Russian furniture and decorations. In the afternoon you will visit Pavel's Palace.
Day 4: Peterhof


Peterhof ["Peter's Court"- Ger.] was the summer residence of Russia's tsars and emperors. It features gorgeous cascading fountains (140 pieces) and vibrant, ornate palaces that make it Russia's equivalent of Versailles. You will have lunch in the "Samson" restaurant, situated right in the opposite of the Upper Garden.
Day 5: Yusupov Palace


Prince Felix Yusupov is famous for planning and carrying out the assassination of Rasputin, the adviser whom most feared had excessive influence over the Emperor and his wife. Felix lured Rasputin to his palace under the pretext of meeting with Felix's young and beautiful wife. Rasputin was killed shortly after arriving. You will have lunch in the "Russian Kitch" restaurant, famous for its gorgeous design a la Russian tsars and traditional Russian cuisine. In the afternoon you will be visiting the Church of the Resurrection, also known as the "Saviour on the Blood." It was built on the spot where Alexander II was killed in 1881.
Day 6: Free day


St. Petersburg is one of the top travel destinations in the world. It is itself a living museum of Russian and European history with every street, building, and canal boasting a fascinating story. This day is saved for you to explore these amazing streets on your own, to check out the many fantastic restaurants, to shop for souvenirs, or to sit back and savor St. Petersburg.
Day 7: Departure


After check-out your driver will take you to the airport or the train station, if your next stop is Moscow. Ask your travel specialist about more of our amazing extensions!
