We would like to update you on the current situation with fires and smoke in Western Russia. Moscow
The smoke that caused so much distress for residents and visitors of Moscow earlier this week has by-and-large disappeared now. Mobilization of some 240,000 firefighters has reduced the area of wildfires across Western Russia by half in the past 24 hours. Winds have also changed, blowing the clouds of smoke away from the city.
While the situation in Moscow has improved dramatically, three of Russia's regions continue to experience heavy fires. However, clearer skies above Moscow will now enable the firefighter aviation to lift from the ground.
We expect all traces of smoke in Moscow to be gone by this weekend. Forest experts expect that it will take about 15 years for the forests to recover.

St. Petersburg
There have been some concerns from our customers that wind patterns may blow smoke towards St. Petersburg. Luckily, St. Petersburg is located on the banks of the Gulf of Finland and enjoys a constant, clean breeze from the Baltic Sea.

Temperature
After three weeks of records, temperature in Moscow has dropped to circa 85°F. It's not predicted to change significantly this week. Temperature in St. Petersburg is circa 70°F at this moment and is predicted to climb to a comfortable level of 85°F.
