Kiev

Being one of the centers of Eastern Europe Kiev is nowadays a capital of Urkraine. It is ancient town with rich history that traces back to the 5th century and was an origin of Slavic civilization. Kiev in early 10th to 12th century was a capital of Rus. Rus was a unite civilization of what is now are two separate countires: Russia and Ukraine. However, after it had been completely destroyed by Mongols, the center of Rus has gradualy moved to Moscow. The Ukraine has emerged again during Soviet Union period as an industrial city and capital of Ukraine, part of USSR. All this common history has left lot of similar features in Kiev and Moscow architecture, churches and culture. Spend a weekend in Kiev to experince its vibrant and in the same rich historical center and to enjoy the hospitality and friendliness of Ukrainians.
