Over all a fabulous adventure

Celia and I have been home for a month now from our Trans Siberian trip from Moscow to Vladivostok .
We began our trip in St Petersburg where our guide showed us that great city and Pushkin (the Summer Palace). The guide was a wonder; he could guide us around the crowds to see the highlights.
The trip from Moscow to Vladivostok was as Cecelia says below.
There were a few challenges: railroad stations in Russia are built of marble and granite, but there is not a lift, escalator nor ramp in sight. After the first few stations, our guides provided luggage handlers. Some railroad cars were better than others. We soon learned to pack carry-ons for train days.
The vastness of Siberia punctuated with amazing cities, wooden villages and wonderful people is an adventure of a lifetime. One of the special highlights was lunch (a dinner party at mid-day) at the home of a Siberian couple near Lake Baikal. The perfectly prepared food was from her garden.
Lake Baikal is a little-known wonder, not be be missed. A note to TAR: please include the Lake Baikal Museum on the tour, it's well worth it.
Overall a fabulous adventure.
