Day 1: Arrival in St. Petersburg

Welcome to the magnificent Northern capital of Russia - St. Petersburg! Your private driver meets you at the airport and takes you to your luxurious 5-star hotel located in the very heart of St. Petersburg.

After check-in you can meet your guide at the hotel lobby in the evening. The rest of the evening is free, so you can either explore the fantastic center of St. Petersburg on your own or take a good rest before the rich sightseeing program planned for the following day.

Day 2: St. Petersburg City Tour & Visit to the Faberge Museum

After breakfast you meet your guide at the hotel lobby and go on a wonderful city tour around the most famous St. Petersburg attractions.

You take a walk through the Split of Basil Island, go inside the Peter and Paul Fortress - a burial place of almost all the Russian emperors and empresses from Peter the Great to Nicholas II and his family, have photo stops near the gorgeous St. Isaac's Cathedral and the Church of Savior on Spilled Blood, and drive along the bustling Nevsky Prospect abundant in fine shops, cafes and museums.

After lunch at a city restaurant you visit the famous Faberge museum, which houses the world's largest collection of works by Carl Faberge, including 9 Easter eggs commissioned by the Russian royal family.

In the evening, board a small river boat for a sail around the numerous rivers and canals of St. Petersburg.

Day 3: Visit to the Hermitage & Trip to Peterhof

Following breakfast you meet your guide and go to one of the best and largest art museums in the world, the Hermitage Museum, before hours to avoid large crowds. The Hermitage Museum houses its unique collection of world art, including the masterpieces of Leonardo da Vinci, Rembrandt, El Greco, Francisco Goya and Thomas Gainsborough in the halls of the Winter Palace. They say that if you were to spend three minutes by each of the exhibits in the Hermitage, it would have taken you three years to see the entire exhibition. But don't worry - you have an experienced guide, who will show you the best rooms and halls of the exhibit within several hours.

After lunch at a city restaurant you travel to the outskirts of St. Petersburg to explore the former summer residence of Russian tsars and the gem of palace architecture - Peterhof. During the tour you visit the famous Bath Cottage and take a walk in the beautiful Lower Park, lavishly adorned with 176 fountains of various forms and styles and numerous gilded statues of ancient gods and heroes.

After the tour you return to St. Petersburg by hydrofoil and have the rest of the day at your leisure.

Day 4: Tour of the Catherine's Palace & Russia in Miniature Museum

After breakfast at the hotel you head for Pushkin (Tsarskoye Selo) to explore the brilliant Catherine's Palace that is a striking example of baroque architecture gifted by Peter the Great to his wife Catherine I. During the tour you walk through the lavish parks and gardens of this outstanding palace and enjoy its gorgeous interiors, including the replica of the world-renowned Amber Room.

Day 9: Uglich Sightseeing Tour

During your city tour you visit the famous Church of St. Dmitry-on-Blood, built on the site where Ivan the Terrible's son, Dmitry, was murdered in 1591, and the St. John's Church where you enjoy a fascinating concert of choral music.

After the tour you return to your ship and watch the documentary film "Construction of the Moscow Canal".

Day 10: Moscow City Tour, Novodevichy Cemetery & Museum of Cosmonautics

Day 13: Golden Eagle Embarkation

This morning after breakfast you check out from the hotel. You have the morning free to continue exploring Moscow on your own.

Today you arrive in Kazan - the beautiful capital of the Republic of Tatarstan and the center of Tatar culture in Russia.
