Day 1: Arrival in St. Petersburg

Today you arrive in St. Petersburg - the crown jewel of Russia and one of the world's most beautiful cities! Your private driver meets you at the airport and takes you to your centrally located hotel.

The rest of the day is free, so you can either start exploring the fantastic center of St. Petersburg on your own or take a good rest before the rich sightseeing program planned for the following day.

Day 2: Trip to Peterhof

After breakfast you meet your guide at the hotel lobby and travel to the outskirts of St. Petersburg to explore the former summer residence of Russian tsars and the gem of palace architecture - Peterhof.

During the tour you visit the famous Bath Cottage and take a walk in the beautiful Lower Park, lavishly adorned with 176 fountains of various forms and styles and numerous gilded statues of ancient gods and heroes.

After the tour you return to your hotel and have the rest of the day free.

Day 3: Trip to Pushkin

Following breakfast you check out from your hotel, meet your guide at the hotel lobby and head for Pushkin (Tsarskoye Selo) to explore the brilliant Catherine's Palace that is a striking example of baroque architecture gifted by Peter the Great to his wife Catherine I.

During the tour you walk through the lavish parks and gardens of this outstanding palace and enjoy its gorgeous interiors, including the replica of the world-renowned Amber Room.

After the tour you are transferred to the river port to board your luxurious MS Rostropovich. Before accommodation in your cozy cabin you enjoy a traditional Bread, Salt & Vodka Ceremony. In the evening you are invited to the Captain's Welcome reception and dinner on board.

Day 4: St. Petersburg City Tour & Visit to the Hermitage

After breakfast your guide meets you at the pier and takes you on a sightseeing tour around the most famous city attractions.

During the tour you take a walk through the Split of Basil Island, go inside the Peter and Paul Fortress - a burial place of almost all the Russian emperors and empresses from Peter the Great to Nicholas II and his family, have photo stops near the gorgeous St. Isaac's Cathedral and the Church of Savior on Spilled Blood, and drive along the bustling Nevsky Prospect abundant in fine shops, cafes and museums.

After lunch in the city center you visit one of the largest art museums in the world - the Hermitage Museum. They say that if you were to spend three minutes by each of the exhibits in the Hermitage, it would have taken you three years to see the entire exhibition. But don't worry - you have an experienced guide, who will show you the best rooms and halls of the exhibit within several hours.

After the tour you return on board. Entertainment program in the evening.

Day 5: Mandrogi Walking Tour

You go on a guided tour of this historical fortress, where you visit the famous Square of Four Cathedrals and go inside one of its gorgeous cathedrals decorated with magnificent frescoes.

Your tour also includes a visit to its wonderful Armoury Chamber that houses a unique collection of crown jewels, stunning coronation finery, hand-forged armor and weapons, royal carriages and sleighs, and world-famous Fabergé eggs.

After lunch at a city restaurant you return on board. Entertainment program in the evening.

Day 10: Moscow City Tour & Visit to the Tretyakov Gallery

After breakfast you disembark MS Rostropovich and meet your guide at the pier and have a wonderful city tour around the most magnificent Moscow landmarks.

During the tour you take a walk at the beautiful Red Square, take a photo stop near the colorful St. Basil's Cathedral, enter the largest Moscow department store GUM and go inside the Cathedral of Christ the Savior (if time and availability permit), and enjoy one of the best city views at Sparrow Hills.

Later you enjoy lunch in a local restaurant followed by a visit to the world-famous treasure trove of the Russian fine art, the Tretyakov Gallery, where you spend several amazing hours viewing the gems of its collection, including the famous masterpieces of Ivan Aivazovsky, Mikhail Vrubel and Viktor Vasnetsov.

After the tour you are taken to your Moscow hotel for check-in and have the rest of the day free.

Day 11: Exploring Novodevichy Convent & Subway Ride

Following breakfast you meet your guide at the hotel lobby and enjoy a guided tour to one of the most beautiful Russia's monasteries - the Novodevichy Convent.

During the tour you explore the unique interiors of the Convent and visit its Cemetery that is considered one of Moscow's most prestigious resting places. Many famous Russian political leaders, actors, scientists, poets and musicians are buried there, including Mstislav Rostropovich, Mikhail Bulgakov, Anton Chekhov, Vladimir Mayakovsky and Boris Yeltsin. The cemetery has a park-like ambiance, dotted with small chapels and beautiful monuments, that makes you feel like strolling in the park of sculptures.

Later you explore one of the most interesting sites in Moscow hidden deep beneath the surface - the  Moscow Subway. You have a quick subway ride to taste local life and enjoy the splendid Soviet decoration of its stations.
