Day 1: Arrival in Moscow

Welcome to the brilliant Russian capital - Moscow!

On board the MS Lev Tolstoy you are welcomed with a traditional Russian “bread and salt” ceremony.

In the evening you enjoy a Welcome Dinner on board of the MS Lev Tolstoy and have the rest of the day free. You can either explore the fantastic center of Moscow on your own or take a good rest before the rich sightseeing program planned for the following day.

Day 2: Moscow City Tour & Visit to the Kremlin

After breakfast you meet your guide and go on a wonderful bus city tour around the most fascinating Moscow attractions, including Tverskaya street, Manezh Square and the Cathedral of Christ the Savior

Later you take a walk around the legendary Red Square enjoying great views of the St. Basil's Cathedral, GUM, and Kremlin Towers.

After lunch at a local restaurant you visit the symbol of Russian power - the majestic Kremlin. During the tour you go inside the Kremlin territory and explore the famous Square of Four Cathedrals, where you visit one of its gorgeous 15th-century cathedrals decorated with magnificent frescoes.

After the tour you return on board. The rest of the evening is free, so you can continue exploring Moscow on your own or join an optional tour.

Day 3: Free Day in Moscow

This day is free for you, so you can spend it relaxing on board of your cruise ship, order a transfer to the city center to continue exploring magnificent Moscow attractions on your own or join one of our optional tours.

Optional tours: Visit to the Tretyakov Picture Gallery or tour of the Novodevichy Convent.

When optional tours are over you return to your ship and your amazing cruise starts. In the evening you enjoy Captain's Welcome Cocktail with presentation of the crew and staff followed by dinner and entertainment on board.

Day 4: Uglich Walking Sightseeing Tour

Today you arrive in the small town of Uglich, where a historically significant political turmoil known as the Times of Trouble started.

During your city tour you visit the Kremlin territory with the famous Church of St. Dmitry-on-Blood, built on the site where Ivan the Terrible's son, Dmitry, was murdered in 1591, and the Transfiguration Cathedral.

After the tour you return to your ship. An entertainment program is organized on board.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included.

Day 5: Exploring Yaroslavl Highlights

Today you explore one of the oldest Russian cities and the gem of the Volga River - Yaroslavl.

During your bus city tour you make a stop at the local market where you can buy traditional souvenirs. You then pass the Church of St Elijah the Prophet, visit the famous church of St. Nicolas the Wonder-Worker and the territory of Possad. As a grand finale you go on a interactive tour of former Governor’s House where you get to see the art gallery.

After the tour you return to your ship. An entertainment program is organized on board.

Day 6: Visiting the Monastery of St. Cyril in Goritsy

Today you arrive in Goritsy - a petite picturesque settlement near White Lake. Your guided walking tour includes a visit to the Monastery of St. Cyril founded in 1397 on the White Lake, and now houses one of the greatest collections of Russian icons in the world.

After the tour you return to your ship. An entertainment program is organized on board.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included.

Day 7: Tour of Kizhi Island

Today you see a real miracle of wooden architecture - the fantastic Kizhi Island. During your walking tour you explore its famous Pogost with the dazzling 22-domed Transfiguration Church built without a single nail, and visit a beautiful Intercession Church, traditional windmills and ancient Russian wooden houses.

After the tour you return to your ship. An entertainment program is organized on board.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included.

Day 8: Mandrogi Walking Tour

Today you explore Mandrogi - a small village located on the 139-mile-long Svir River. Here you spend a wonderful time walking through this vacation village, enjoying its beautifully-decorated wooden houses and experiencing the traditional mode of life of the Russian countryside. 

Later you enjoy a traditional Russian picnic ashore with shashlik barbecue (meat kebab) made on the grill.

After the tour you return to your ship. An entertainment program is organized on board.

Day 9: St. Petersburg Sightseeing Tour & Visit to the Hermitage Museum

Today you arrive in St. Petersburg - the crown jewel of Russia and one of the world's most beautiful cities. Upon arrival you are met by your guide and go on a panoramic bus city tour around the most famous St. Petersburg attractions, including the bustling Nevsky Prospect, the St. Isaac's Cathedral, the Church of Savior on Spilled Blood and Palace Square.

You also visit the Peter and Paul Fortress where you see the Peter I monument, Commandant's house and Nevsky Gate, and go inside the Peter and Paul Cathedral - a burial place of almost all the Russian emperors and empresses from Peter the Great to Nicholas II and his family.

After lunch in the city center your guide takes you to one of the largest art museums in the world - the Hermitage Museum. It houses its unique collection, including the masterpieces of Leonardo da Vinci, Van Gogh, Picasso, Renoir, Monet and Kandinsky, in the halls of the Winter Palace.

They say that if you were to spend three minutes by each of the exhibits in the Hermitage, it would have taken you three years to see the entire exhibition. But don't worry - you have an experienced guide, who will show you the best rooms and halls of the exhibit within several hours.

Day 10: Trip to Peterhof

Today you travel to the outskirts of St. Petersburg to explore the former summer residence of Russian tsars and the gem of palace architecture - Peterhof.

During the tour you walk in the beautiful Lower Park, lavishly adorned with 176 fountains of various forms and styles and numerous gilded statues of ancient gods and heroes.

The rest of the day is free, so you can order an optional transfer to the city center to continue exploring St. Petersburg on your own or take an optional tour. 

After the tour you return to your ship. An entertainment program is organized on board.

Day 11: Optional Trip to Pushkin & Pavlovsk

This day is free for you, so you can enjoy the treasures of St. Petersburg on your own or join our amazing optional tour to Pushkin and Pavlovsk. In Pushkin you can explore the brilliant Catherine's Palace a striking example of baroque architecture gifted by Peter the Great to his wife Catherine I with the replica of the world-renowned Amber Room. In Pavlovsk you can visit its famous Palace and take a walk in the park.
