Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Moscow

Welcome to the glorious capital of Russia - Moscow! Your driver meets you at the airport and transfers you to your centrally located hotel for check-in.

The rest of the day is free to relax in your cozy room or start exploring the amazing city center on your own. In the evening you enjoy Welcome dinner at a city restaurant where you meet your fellow travelers and discuss the tour program with your guide.

Please note: in case of late arrival dinner can be shifted for the next day

Day 2: Moscow City Tour & Visit to the Tretyakov Gallery

Following breakfast you meet your guide at the hotel lobby and have a wonderful city tour around the most magnificent Moscow landmarks. During the tour you take a walk at the beautiful Red Square, go inside the colorful St. Basil's Cathedral, admire a beautiful facade of the famous GUM department store and enjoy one of the best city views at Sparrow Hills.

Later you enjoy lunch in a local restaurant followed by a visit to the world-famous treasure trove of the Russian fine art, the Tretyakov Gallery, where you spend amazing time viewing the gems of its collection, including the famous masterpieces of Ivan Aivazovsky, Mikhail Vrubel and Viktor Vasnetsov.

Later you explore one of the most interesting sites in Moscow hidden deep beneath the surface - the Moscow Subway. You have a quick subway ride to taste local life and enjoy the splendid decorations of its stations.

After the tour you are transferred to your hotel and have the rest of the day free.

Day 3: Exploring the Kremlin & Armoury Chamber

After breakfast you have a wonderful sightseeing tour devoted to the exploration of a real Russian miracle and its most famous symbol - the mighty Kremlin.

You have a guided tour of this historical fortress, where you visit the famous Square of Four Cathedrals and go inside one of its gorgeous cathedrals decorated with magnificent frescoes.

Your tour also includes a visit to its wonderful Armoury Chamber that houses a unique collection of crown jewels, stunning coronation finery, hand-forged armor and weapons, royal carriages and sleighs, and world-famous Fabergé eggs.

After the tour you return to your hotel and have the rest of the day free.

Day 4: Visit to the Christ the Savior Cathedral & Novodevichy Cemetery

Following breakfast you enjoy a guided tour of one of the largest Orthodox churches in the world - the Cathedral of Christ the Savior. During the tour you explore the unique decoration of the Cathedral’s interiors and enjoy fantastic city views from the 40 meter high observation platform.

Then you proceed to the Novodevichy Cemetery that is considered one of Moscow’s most prestigious resting places. Many famous Russian political leaders, actors, scientists, poets and musicians are buried there, including Mstislav Rostropovich, Mikhail Bulgakov, Anton Chekhov, Vladimir Mayakovsky and Boris Yeltsin. The cemetery has a park-like ambiance, dotted with small chapels and beautiful monuments, that makes you feel like strolling in the park of sculptures.

After the tour you are transferred to your hotel and have the rest of the day free. In the evening you can enjoy an optional boat ride.

Day 5: Sapsan Ride to Saint Petersburg

Today upon check out from your hotel, meet your guide and driver and head for the railway station. There you board the modern high-speed Sapsan train that takes you to St. Petersburg in comfort and safety in just 4 hours.

Upon arrival you guide and driver meet  you at the station platform and take you to your centrally located hotel for check-in. After check-in enjoy welcome dinner in a company of your guide.

Breakfast and dinner included.

Day 6: St. Petersburg City Tour

After breakfast you meet your guide at the hotel lobby and go on an amazing panoramic city tour around the most cherished gems of St. Petersburg, including Palace Square, the Hermitage Museum, the Mariinsky Theater, Nevsky Prospect and many other popular attractions (no entrances included).

After lunch you visit the Peter and Paul Fortress - a burial place of almost all the Russian emperors and empresses from Peter the Great to Nicholas II and his family. Then you go inside to the magnificent St. Isaac's Cathedral and the Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood, which stands where Russia's great emperor Alexander II was mortally wounded.

After the tour you return to your hotel and have the rest of the day free.

Day 7: Visit to the Hermitage Museum & Diamond Room

Following breakfast you meet your guide at the hotel lobby and go to the legendary Hermitage Museum before hours to avoid large crowds. Hermitage houses its unique collection of world art, including the masterpieces of Leonardo da Vinci, Rembrandt, El Greco, Francisco Goya and Thomas Gainsborough in the halls of the Winter Palace.

They say that if you were to spend three minutes by each of the exhibits in the Hermitage, it would have taken you three years to see the entire exhibition. But don't worry - you have an experienced guide, who will show you the best rooms and halls of the exhibit within several hours.

You also go inside the famous Diamond Room, that contains the unique collection of priceless gems belonging to the Romanov family as well as visit the General Staff Building to admire the Hermitage's superb collection of Modern European Art, primarily consisting of the world-famous French impressionist and post-impressionist paintings.

After the tour you return to your hotel and have the rest of the day free.

Day 8: Trip to Peterhof

After breakfast you meet your guide at the hotel lobby and travel to the outskirts of St. Petersburg to explore the former summer residence of Russian tsars and the gem of palace architecture - Peterhof.

During the tour you visit the famous Bath Cottage, which offers a fascinating insight into everyday life of Russian court, and take a walk in the beautiful Lower Park, lavishly adorned with 176 fountains of various forms and styles and numerous gilded statues of ancient gods and heroes. The highlight of the tour is a unique hydrofoil ride back to Saint Petersburg.

After the tour you return to your hotel and have the rest of the day free.

Day 9: Trip to Pushkin

Following breakfast you meet your guide at the hotel lobby and head for Pushkin (Tsarskoye Selo) to explore the brilliant Catherine's Palace that is a striking example of baroque architecture gifted by Peter the Great to his wife Catherine I.

During the tour you walk through the lavish parks and gardens of this outstanding palace and enjoy its gorgeous interiors, including the replica of the world-renowned Amber Room.

After the tour you return to your hotel in Saint Petersburg and have the rest of the day free.

Day 10: Tour to Usupov Palace, Faberge Museum and Boat Ride

After breakfast you go on a guided tour of the Usupov Palace, that is one of the most beautiful examples of classicism style constructions in Saint Petersburg. Decorated with six-column portico, the Palace delights with a harmony of proportions and silhouette elegance. During the tour you explore the most interesting halls and rooms of this Palace that is the best known as the Palace on the Moika River where Grigory Rasputin was murdered in 1916.

Right after the tour in Usupov palace your guide takes you to one of the most beautiful palaces in Saint Petersburg - the Shuvalov Palace located on the Fontanka River to show you the world's largest collection of works by Carl Faberge, including nine of the famous Imperial Easter Eggs, regarded not only as the finest jeweled works of art, but also as unique historical artifacts.

A private boat ride along the beautiful canals and rivers of the Russian Northern capital comes as a final chord to your exploration of Saint Petersburg.

Day 11: Departure from St. Petersburg
