Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Moscow

Welcome to the legendary capital of Russia - Moscow! Your driver meets you at the airport and transfers you to your centrally located hotel for check-in.

The rest of the day is free to relax in your cozy room, dine in one of the nearby restaurants or start exploring the amazing city center on your own.

Day 2: Moscow City Tour & Visit to the Tretyakov Gallery

After breakfast you meet your private guide and driver at the hotel lobby and start a wonderful city tour around the most magnificent Moscow landmarks.

During the tour you take a walk at the beautiful Red Square, go inside the colorful St. Basil's Cathedral, admire a beautiful facade of the famous GUM department store, see the spectacular Cathedral of Christ the Savior (if time allows) and enjoy one of the best city views at Sparrow Hills.

You then proceed to the world-famous treasure trove of the Russian fine art, the Tretyakov Gallery, where you have amazing time viewing the gems of its collection, including the famous masterpieces of Ivan Aivazovsky, Mikhail Vrubel and Viktor Vasnetsov.

After the tour you are transferred to your hotel and have the rest of the day free.

Day 3: Visiting the Kremlin & Armoury Chamber

This day is dedicated to the exploration of one of the most outstanding Moscow icons - the Kremlin.

Following breakfast you meet your guide at the hotel lobby and go inside the Kremlin walls to visit its famous Armoury Chamber that houses a unique collection of crown jewels, stunning coronation finery, hand-forged armor and weapons, royal carriages and sleighs, and world-famous Fabergé eggs.

After the tour you return to your hotel and have the rest of the day free. In the evening you can enjoy an optional tour.

Day 4: Exploring Novodevichy Convent & Subway Ride & Flight to Irkutsk

Following breakfast you check out from your hotel and enjoy a guided tour to one of the most beautiful Russia’s monasteries - the Novodevichy Convent.

During the tour you explore the unique interiors of the Convent and visit its Cemetery that is considered one of Moscow’s most prestigious resting places. Many famous Russian political leaders, actors, scientists, poets and musicians are buried there, including Mstislav Rostropovich, Mikhail Bulgakov, Anton Chekhov, Vladimir Mayakovsky and Boris Yeltsin. The cemetery has a park-like ambiance, dotted with small chapels and beautiful monuments, that makes you feel like strolling in the park of sculptures.

Later you explore one of the most interesting sites in Moscow hidden deep beneath the surface - the Moscow Subway. You have a quick subway ride to taste local life and enjoy the splendid decorations of its stations.

After the tour you are transferred to Moscow airport for your flight to Irkutsk.

Day 5: Exploring Irkutsk Monasteries & Must-Sees

Early in the morning you arrive in Irkutsk, informally known as "Paris of Siberia" for its rich architecture and colorful live. Upon arrival your private driver takes you to hotel where you have some time to rest after the overnight flight. 

In the afternoon you are transferred to a city restaurant for lunch. Then you embark on a guided tour around the most remarkable Irkutsk attractions. During the tour you explore the historical part of the city, including the Epiphany Cathedral, the oldest stone-structure Church of our Savior and the only Catholic Cathedral in Irkutsk, the Polish Roman Catholic Church. Then you walk through a beautiful Kirov Square and a central Karl Marks Street that will lead you to the Angara River embankment - the most popular meeting place among the locals.

After the tour the rest of the day is free.

Day 6: Listvyanka Village Tour & Baikal Museum

Following breakfast you check out and meet your driver who takes you right to the Lake Baikal shore.

Upon arrival you enjoy a guided tour around Listvyanka Village. During the tour you visit the Baikal Limnological Museum and Aquarium that houses an interesting display of the unique flora and fauna of the lake.

Then you explore the famous Shaman Rock, take a chair-lift to the nearby view point to take some magnificent panoramic pictures of Baikal, visit the 19th century wooden St. Nicolas Church and spend some time at a local fish market where you see a great variety of fish and learn different ways of cooking it.

After lunch in a local restaurant you return to your hotel and have the rest of the day free. In the evening you enjoy traditional Russian banya at your hotel.

Day 7: Trip to Taltsy Village

After breakfast you take a day trip to the open-air museum of wooden architecture located in Taltsy Village.

This reconstructed Siberian village consists of a number of buildings that were threatened with flooding when the Irkutsk Dam was constructed on the Angara River. All the buildings at the Taltsy museum were rescued from the rising waters and brought here to serve as models of Irkutsk regional architecture.

After the tour you return to your hotel and have the rest of the day free.

Day 8: Flight to Saint Petersburg

After breakfast you check out from your hotel and say "Good-bye" to Lake Baikal! Your driver takes you to Irkutsk for your flight to St. Petersburg. Upon arrival your driver transfers you to your centrally-located hotel for check-in.

Day 9: St. Petersburg City Tour

After breakfast you meet your guide at the hotel lobby and go on an amazing panoramic city tour around the most cherished gems of St. Petersburg, including Palace Square, the Hermitage Museum, the St. Isaac's Cathedral, the Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood, Nevsky Prospect and many other popular attractions (no entrances included).

During the tour you also visit the Peter and Paul Fortress - a burial place of almost all the Russian emperors and empresses from Peter the Great to Nicholas II and his family. Then you go inside to the magnificent St. Isaac's Cathedral and the Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood, which stands where Russia's great emperor Alexander II was mortally wounded.

In the evening you can enjoy an optional activity - a fascinating Folk Show at the Nikolaevsky Palace.

Day 10: Tour of the Hermitage Museum

Following breakfast you meet your guide at the hotel lobby and go to the legendary Hermitage Museum, that houses its unique collection of world art, including the masterpieces of Leonardo da Vinci, Rembrandt, El Greco, Francisco Goya and Thomas Gainsborough in the halls of the Winter Palace.

They say that if you were to spend three minutes by each of the exhibits in the Hermitage, it would have taken you three years to see the entire exhibition. But don't worry - you have an experienced guide, who will show you the best rooms and halls of the exhibit within several hours.

After the tour you return to your hotel and have the rest of the day free. In the evening you can enjoy an optional tour carefully prepared for you.

Day 11: Trip to Peterhof

After breakfast you meet your guide at the hotel lobby and travel to the outskirts of St. Petersburg to explore the former summer residence of Russian tsars - Peterhof.

During the tour you visit the famous Bath Cottage, which offers a fascinating insight into everyday life of Russian court, and take a walk in the beautiful Lower Park, lavishly adorned with 176 fountains of various forms and styles and numerous gilded statues of ancient gods and heroes.

Day 12: Trip to Pushkin
