In the evening you enjoy a welcome dinner at your hotel and meet your fellow travelers in the perfect atmosphere created by crystal lighting, beautiful decorations and top-notch service.

Moscow City Tour & Visit to the Kremlin

This morning is devoted to the exploration of a real Russian miracle and its most famous symbol - the mighty Kremlin. Following breakfast you go on a guided tour of this historical fortress, that includes a visit to its wonderful Armoury Chamber that houses a unique collection of crown jewels, stunning coronation finery, hand-forged armor and weapons, royal carriages and sleighs, and world-famous Fabergé eggs.  Later you enjoy a leisurely walk through the beautiful Red Square, take a photo stop near the colorful St. Basil's Cathedral, see the largest Moscow department store GUM and take a short Moscow Metro ride to explore this outstanding work of Socialist art furnished with statues, frescoes and mosaics, unsurpassed anywhere in the world.  After the tour you are transferred to the railway station where you board your luxurious Golden Eagle train and start your one-of-a-kind adventure to the Naadam Festival. Today you arrive in Kazan - the beautiful capital of the Republic of Tatarstan and the center of Tatar culture in Russia. 

Upon arrival you have a guided city tour that includes a visit to the white-walled Kazan Kremlin where you will see the famous Kul-Sherif Mosque and the old Peter and Paul Cathedral, a private concert of Feodor Chaliapin’s music and a walking tour through the main pedestrian area of Kazan. 

After the tour you return on board your train and continue traveling.

Ekaterinburg City Tour

Today your train arrives in the famous capital of Ural where Europe and Asia meet - Ekaterinburg.

Upon arrival you have a guided city tour dedicated to the last days of the Russian Imperial Family. During the tour you visit the Cathedral-on-the-Blood built on the site of the notorious Ipatiev House where the last Russian Emperor, Nicolas II, and his family were assassinated.

Then you are transferred to the obelisk marking the geographical border and can drink a glass of champagne with one foot in Europe and the other in Asia.

Today you arrive in Irkutsk, informally known as "Paris of Siberia" for its rich architecture and colorful live. 

During your sightseeing tour you see the House of Europe also known as the "wooden lace" house and take a relaxing walk along Karl Marx Street that is the most beautiful street in Irkutsk.

The highlight of the tour is a visit to the Decembrist Volkonsky House Museum dedicated to the memory of the exiled aristocrats who were forced to flee to this remote outpost after the failed revolution of 1825, where you enjoy a champagne reception and a private concert. 

  • Optional tours: Cooking master class with a local chef or visit to a traditional Russian dacha (summer house) or an urban apartment.

Today your train makes a stop at the picturesque Lake Baikal that is the world's deepest freshwater lake known as the Pearl of Siberia. 

You start exploring Baikal from a boat trip to Listvyanka village. During your sightseeing tour you visit the Baikal Limnological Museum and Aquarium that houses an interesting display of the unique flora and fauna of the lake. 

Later you enjoy a traditional barbecue, including freshly smoked omul fish, on the shore of Lake Baikal (if weather permits).

Today you arrive in the capital of Mongolia - Ulan Bator. Upon arrival you say farewell to your luxurious Golden Eagle train and meet your private guide who takes you on a wonderful tour around the most famous city attractions.

During the tour you see a central Sukhabaatar Square with the monument to Genghis Khan and visit the legendary Gandan Monastery that is considered the most important center for Buddhist learning in all of Mongolia.

  • Optional tour: Trip to the Gorkhi-Terelj National Park where you have the chance to visit a traditional ger (yurt), meet a nomadic family, enjoy the beautiful sceneries of wild Mongolia and try your hand at horse-riding.

After the tour you are transferred to your centrally located hotel for overnight.

First Day of the Naadam Festival

Today you have a unique opportunity to be among the few non-Mongolians to experience the spectacular Naadam Festival. Once a religious ceremony, the festival now formally commemorates the 1921 revolution when Mongolia declared itself a free country.

Your first day at the Naadam Festival starts with an elaborate opening ceremony which includes fantastic performances of local dancers, athletes, horse riders and musicians.

Then you travel outside Ulan Bator to watch the national horse race, whose participants are all children between five and twelve, many of whom have been in the saddle since the age of one. You are assured prime seating in the finish line stand that gives a fantastic view of the children and their horses as they complete the grueling 20 kilometer race.

In the evening you enjoy a performance of traditional Mongolian throat singing and contortionists.

At the end of the day you return to your hotel for overnight.

The second day of the Naadam Festival is the day when all main competitions are held. So be ready to spend this day in the open air admiring breathtaking archery, wrestling and ankle bone shooting events.
