The trip went smoothly. The only glitch was our luggage lost for about a day and half before they found it and got it to Ulan Bator.
The rail ride was interesting and we met people from all over the world and became good friends with many of them.
The food on Tsar’s Gold was better than the Chinese train but after 9 days, it became a little repetitious and could use more spices.
The program on the train was fine and our guide tried very hard ensure that everyone is satisfied (not an easy job).
We enjoyed our extra days in Moscow and St. Petersburg. Despite the raining weather, the hotel Rossi was at such an excellent location, we thoroughly enjoyed walking around.
Our guide in St. Petersburg was the best we had on this whole trip. We thoroughly enjoyed our tours with her. The restaurant Pickle and Jam was also an excellent choice.
Both my husband and I learned a lot about Russia and are very impressed with all the effort put in the restoration of palaces, art work, churches after the destruction of WWII.
Thank you for all your help and I will recommend you to all my friends who are interested in this trip.
