The itinerary was well planned and we appreciated the initiative of the guides to make the necessary schedule changes to accommodate the weather, crowds and unexpected changes in the availability of the planned sights.
The St Regis in Moscow was excellent but we were disappointed in the average service and room condition at Taleon Imperial in St Petersburg which had been rated as 5-star. The service at the restaurant where we had breakfast was poor, the shower in one of the rooms did not work well, and another room experienced poor internet connectivity. Overall, we felt the willingness of the staff to assist was less than forthcoming.
The service and response by our travel specialist from Firebird was excellent.
