We've been back a week now and we really enjoyed our trip to Russia.
There were no glitches and everything went off as scheduled.
The local guides made the odd change but there was no issue.
Did not what to expect from Moscow but we were really impressed by the culture, the history, the museums and the architecture.
Our guides were excellent and their English was perfect. We loved Moscow. It was exciting to visit Red Square and the Kremlin. The Cosmonaut museum was okay but we would have much rather gone to the Armouries.
Hotels were wonderful and when we had a problem in St Petersburg they changed our room for us.
Our cruise director was terrific and a lot of fun. We also really lucked out with good weather, very little rain. Heard the large lake we went through can be a problem sometimes ( giant waves ) but we had no problems. Staff on the ship most friendly, courteous and helpful.
Food was very good as well and ample. The stops along the river were interesting as well. St Petersburg was wonderful, though I wish we could have more time to look at the Art.
The only real problem we had was that my husband was not well the whole 12 days but we managed.
Would highly recommend this trip.
